CSA Global is a global geological and mining consultancy firm with particularly relevant experience in nickel laterite geology and mining. CSA Global completed the independent JORC resource estimate for the Piauí Nickel Project as well as initial mine design and optimisation.
GEO-logic Associates
Based in California, Geo-logic is a multi-disciplinary consulting geotechnical, civil and environmental firm. Many of the team used to work for Vector Engineering, the firm headed by BRN Non-Executive Director, Mark Smith. They completed the FEL2 work for Vale.
The Natural History Museum (NHM)
BRN’s technical director Anne Oxley has been a scientific associate of the NHM since 2010 and the NHM has undertaken much fundamental research of nickel laterites.

Research and Productivity Council
For over 10 years RPC have undertaken initial metallurgical test work on behalf of the BRN management team. The RPC methods and approach for nickel laterite leaching has been used as the benchmark for the previous studies conducted by the management team. As the Project deposit is tested following these well established procedures, test results can be analysed in comparison with other projects allowing much more rapid and accurate conclusions to be drawn.
Metsim International
Metsim is the leading metallurgical simulation software. Metsim’s unique dynamic modelling capabilities allow detailed planning of commercial operation even from the results of early stage test work, these models are then validated as test work progresses. BRN works with Metsim International’s team of experts lead by Alex Holtzapple.
Claverton Associates Limited
The principal of Claverton has a long standing relationship with the management team, therefore being fully familiar with nickel laterite heap leaching as well as bringing a wealth of international experience in environmental and social studies Claverton are a core consultant company who completed the environmental and social due diligence on the Piauí project for BRN’s purchase.
Arcadis
ARCADIS is an international company providing consultancy, design, engineering and management services in infrastructure, water, environment and buildings. ARCADIS has been retained by BRN’s Brazilian subsidiary as its environmental permitting consultant. Arcadis is working towards the granting of the Licencia Previa for the PNP.
